Mirror Houses Kirtlington
The Mirror Houses are located in a remote area of a family-run farm near the Oxfordshire village of Kirtlington. They are hidden away in woodland in the grounds of the Kirtlington Park Polo Club, next to a Capability Brown-designed lake.
Steeped in history and surrounded by stunning landscapes, Kirtlington offers a peaceful and idyllic retreat from city life.
Supply WiFi Internet to the Mirror Houses
The Kirtlington Mirror Houses are situated 1.2 kilometres away from the main entrance, and 750 meters away from the main buildings, and have no direct subterranean services other than water supply.
The primary challenges: No direct line of sight for a WiFi link and the actual Mirror Houses are distanced far apart, within a thick wood.
Agile Tech IT installed a point to multi-point wireless bridging link, going via a barn complex that housed the Kirtlington Stud.
The masts had to be hidden so as not to change the look and feel of the surrounding countryside.
With the use of a local data cabling company, we managed to install armoured data cabling within the wood, supplying internet to wireless access points, hidden in each Mirror House and a CCTV system covering the generator area and car park.
Each unit now has its own secure WiFi, easily accessible to the guests via a scannable QR code, unique to each mirror house, simple, totally secure and super fast internet.
Website and Booking System
Charlie and Lucy contacted us at Agile Tech IT through a recommendation from an existing client. They needed a website for the Mirror Houses and had very specific Ideas on what they wanted it to look like.
We met, took onboard all their ideas, and collaborated to build a beautiful website to their requirements, this included a pizza ordering system and a booking element that synchronised with ÖÖD Hotels who supplied and actively advertise the Mirror Houses on their own website.
